How I Work

I understand the pressures of modern life, especially in the New York City area. I’ve built my practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan addressing the problems experienced by those living in such a

fast-paced environment.

Your journey is your own.

I start by treating every client not as a “case” to be processed but as a unique individual. My methods are collaborative, supportive, non-judgmental and results-oriented.

My philosophy of treatment is rooted in psychodynamic theory and clinical practice. Understanding how the past is woven into the present and how it influences the perception of self and the world is fundamental to our ability to love and work. In addition, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a highly effective treatment for the acute symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Initial appointments are made for 90 minutes. Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes each, once or twice a week depending on the work we are doing together.

Please note, I do not accept any insurance plan, including Medicare. If you wish to use insurance please check with your provider about any out-of-network benefits.

Collaborative, supportive, non-judgemental psychotherapy for busy New Yorkers.
